GOVERNORS STEERING COMMITTEE
The governor-appointed, thirty member
Steering Committee on EMS and Trauma Systems
consists of representatives from surgeons and physicians, hospitals, prehospital providers, firefighters, local health departments, consumers and other affected groups. The Committee also utilizes nine technical advisory committees (TACs) with over 150 members from various disciplines. The Steering Committee provides guidance and direction to the state office in its development of the trauma system.
Responsibilities of the EMS and Trauma Care Steering Committee include:

Advise DOH regarding EMS and trauma care needs throughout the state;

Review regional EMS and trauma care plans and recommend changes to DOH before the Department adopts the plans;

Review proposed departmental rules for EMS and trauma care; and
-
Recommend modifications in rules regarding EMS and trauma care.

REGIONAL TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMITTEE
The North Central Region Training and Education Committee are made up of experienced EMS Educators in our region. Please feel free to read the Committee Charter for information about the committee’s responsibilities and work, as well as membership requirements.
